Broilact

$210.00

Broilact is a competitive-exclusion (probiotic) product built around a defined, balanced culture of intestinal bacteria isolated from healthy adult poultry that have been confirmed free of pathogenic microorganisms and specific disease agents, carried on a sucrose filler. Its bacterial composition is standardized and selected to establish a stable, healthy gut microbiota that integrates harmoniously with the bird's digestive ecosystem, without introducing organisms capable of upsetting that balance, and it contains no animal-derived ingredients. As a competitive-exclusion agent, Broilact works by rapidly colonizing all sections of the gastrointestinal tract with beneficial flora, out-competing and suppressing Salmonella, Clostridium, coliform bacteria and other pathogens, regardless of the bird's immune status. It is used to quickly establish or restore normal, healthy intestinal microflora in poultry, including after antibiotic treatment, reducing enteritis of various origins, supporting Salmonella-eradication programs on poultry farms, and helping address antibiotic-resistance challenges in flocks. By restoring the balance of gut flora involved in digestive and fermentative processes, Broilact improves weight gain and feed conversion, increasing overall rearing efficiency. No cross-resistance to antibiotics or antibacterial agents has been observed with use of the product; it does not increase bacterial resistance and may even increase pathogen sensitivity to antibiotics in use. No contraindications have been identified.

A combined antibacterial solution pairing two bacteriostatic antibiotics: florfenicol (amphenicol class), which inhibits protein synthesis by binding the 50S ribosomal subunit, and spectinomycin (aminocyclitol class), which binds the 30S subunit. Acting together they block 70S ribosomal complex formation more effectively than either compound alone, killing susceptible respiratory and enteric bacteria in pigs and poultry.
