Pleuroplexum WSP is a bacteriostatic macrolide built around spiramycin adipate, strongly active against gram-positive cocci such as Staphylococcus and Streptococcus and against a number of gram-negative organisms. It blocks bacterial adhesion to epithelial cells, concentrates inside macrophages and neutrophils to boost their phagocytic activity, and produces a marked post-antibiotic effect along with mild immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory action. Peak blood concentrations are reached 3-6 hours after dosing, with elimination mainly via the faeces. It is indicated for respiratory disease, diarrhoea, streptococcosis, salmonellosis, leptospirosis, chlamydiosis, cryptosporidiosis, and other conditions caused by spiramycin-sensitive organisms.

Dosage: 1-1.5 g per litre of drinking water for broiler chicks, turkeys up to 16 weeks, ducks (prestarter/starter phases), and breeder pullets/laying hens; prepare a fresh solution daily, optionally as a 4-6 hour pulse dose.
